That engine doesn’t look as scary as I thought they did. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the front of the engine like that where you can see the front spark plug wires

If I had the money and was looking for something cheap and fun to thrash on I’d totally go for that. In the ‘90s we had a very non-SHO automatic taurus wagon, but I still loved riding in that back facing seat and I’m sure it’s partially where my love of wagons came from. This would be that, but way better

Same here my mom has a green Sable Wagon of this generation. I’m the youngest of four so I always got that back seat. And I never once complained about it. When my brother got his own car I started getting that back seat all to myself. That was the life

Oh man, this is a favorite of mine. I’d buy it, and reinstall the SHO slicer wheels I have on my van

I had an automatic not SHO sedan variation of one of these. I want this car. This would such a blast and I already know I’d fit comfortably in the front seat..

Related: I’ve been selling some junk on Facebook marketplace and it is awful. They give buyers a button that sends a “Is this still available?” message. I woke up to 10 of those this morning (first one as at 2AM, because apparently people need to do a lot of 2AM table- sawing) and of them 0 people responded to follow ups. Fucking insane.

Ha - my mother in law drove a beige Sable Wagon for years. I was honestly disappointed how much of a boat is was. Heavy, slow throttle response, slow steering, just generally porky. And then you drive a SHO sedan and it is COMPLETELY different. Pretty amazing the diversity Ford achieved off the same platform.
